Word from the seller:
We came to the DFW area from Phoenix. Our primary objective was to find a single level home with lots of trees, a large office and an open floor plan. My husband and I were driving around one sunny Sunday afternoon in November when we found this all-brick home on a beautifully landscaped corner lot. We saw several families out walking, children pitching ball and playing on the sidewalks, and it impressed us as a friendly neighborhood. We took one look inside and knew this home was for us.
Over the 12 years we have had many family members and friends come to visit. Our guests have enjoyed those peaceful nights and days. The split bedrooms gave the feeling of staying at a country inn enjoying their five star non-smoking room. The fourth bedroom has a large double door closet and gives all the pleasures of working at home with plenty of room to spare. Instead of eating out, many of our lunch breaks were spent on the screened back porch. Having that first cup of morning coffee while sitting on the rocker beats the noisy and congested restaurants. There is nothing more tranquil than the days and nights of thunder and rain falling off the many trees in this peaceful setting. The wooden deck with heated jacuzzi provides the perfect place to relax and view the many birds and squirrels entertaining themselves year round.
We decorated the kitchen so that the decorative lighting is extremely attractive at night, while the recessed two skylights provided the natural light during the wonderful Texas four seasons. The granite countertops have given us the opportunity to showcase the kitchen to our many friends and family. Having deep stainless steel under-mounted sinks with the granite counters makes it easy to keep the area clean. Our trash compactor is convenient, sanitary and quite the luxury . Having the double oven is a blessing especially during the seasonal get togethers when preparing for all the guests . The island has been a wonderful asset when preparing large meals . Having the harwood floors installed has provided the ultimate change from what we had before rendering a comfortable, classy look.
The butlers pantry is a must for those dinners that we serve. Having the extra space and showing the china and accessories have provided many compliments, as our guests have enjoyed looking out to the back yard from the breakfast room table. We installed a Culligan water softener with a reverse osmosis unit for drinking water. WOW , what a difference..
The living area is second to none, as it is large and open with vaulted ceilings. The split master bedroom is so large we sometimes get lost in the dark to find the entrance door. The master bathroom has a large walk-in closet with built-in shelves and also an out- of- season storage. No bumping into each other in this closet area. There are two sinks separated by a garden jetted tub and an upgraded tile shower with frameless glass doors that provide plenty of room. Even though we do not own a $500K property, the textured walls and custom window moldings will make anyone envious. And, oh yes, did I mention we have over 50 trees?
The homeowners association is active. Keeping members informed of any activities throughout the area, and planning picnics or get-togethers several times a year captures the community spirit. Overall, it’s been a wonderful area for family living. There is a group of ladies that meet for Keno one evening each month. It's always an entertaining and fun evening meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. There are walking/jogging/bike trails inside the subdivision leading to a city park for the children to enjoy. We enjoyed biking with our dog on a leash. It's safe and great exercise for both of us.
